Hello All

Yes. I am alive and well here in Jordan. I feel slightly cut off from the world becasue internet access is limited for the moment and I can't call anyone until I get a cell phone. I will be writting an expose on details of the past week starting as soon as the University of Jordan gives me and internet ID.

Cliff Notes Version:
I like it here a lot. It's very different than what I was thinking it was going to be like. For example: it's not very hot. Everybody is nice, but I can't communicate with many people yet.

So I love all of you and hope you are alive and well. Email me at brucecall@gmail.com for a more personal converstaion.

-cheers

On tuesday I'm leaving for Jordan were I'm going to be for the next six weeks studying Arabic. I applied for a scholarship in early may for this thinking that I wasn't going to make it due to the fact that they were only choosing 14 people from the whole country. Me and Gretchen Belnap are going together (she was the one who told me about the program). I'm quite "stoked" about the whole thing, and suprisingly I'm not woried about being kidnaped or anything. I'm going to be able to be close to the internet for most of the time I'll be there, so this blog will serve the purpose of telling those of you who want to know whats going on.
